House of Amer

I had a very disappointing experience during my stay. The charges were quite high, but the facilities, food quality and services provided were nowhere near what one would expect from a 4–5 star property. There were several issues throughout the stay: No proper car parking facility. No hot water available. No hand soap in the bathroom. No TV in the room. No coffee sachets/coffee-making facility in the room. Expired milk powder was kept in the room. The flooring was uneven, with different floor levels, which was inconvenient and caused me to trip twice. In the evening, I ordered vegetable Maggi, but I was served almost plain Maggi with only some onion added. Despite the poor quality, the price charged was like a premium 5-star property, while the quality was more like a roadside shop. I also ordered peanut masala, but the taste was not good either. The cheese sandwich was comparatively fine, but overall the food prices were far too high considering the quality and service provided. At night, we were informed that the chef had to go somewhere and, because of this, dinner could not be arranged by the hotel. We were simply told to arrange our own dinner through Zomato/Swiggy. This was extremely disappointing and unacceptable for a property charging such high rates. I had specifically requested that breakfast be ready by 9:30 AM, but it was not ready on time. When I followed up, I was simply told that it was “coming.” The breakfast itself was also only average in terms of quality and variety. Staff were not responding to calls. When we requested assistance to shift our luggage, no staff member came to help. Overall, the property charges premium rates, but the facilities, food quality and guest services do not justify the amount being charged. The experience was nowhere close to what I expected from a property charging 4–5 star prices. The management seriously needs to improve basic room amenities, cleanliness, food quality, pricing, staff availability, response time, breakfast service and overall guest support. High prices can only be justified when the facilities and service meet the expectations associated with those prices. Unfortunately, that was not the case during my stay.

The property impresses with its spotless cleanliness and unbeatable location, making it easy to explore nearby attractions. While the staff and facilities are adequate, the room size and view leave something to be desired. Overall, it offers a decent stay but might not fully meet expectations for those seeking spacious accommodations or scenic vistas.

I spent two days here and had a pleasant experience. Since i was here in off season, i had to ask for certain things like outside seating etc and then it was arranged. The traditional food thali was well made and the chef and other staff were courteous. It is close to Amer fort , but far from city limits. Do walk around Amer. Its a quaint and nice place .

I had one night stay is House of Amer. The place is very close to Amer fort Chaand pol (moon gate) and you can visit the fort whenever you desire. But that is the disadvantage too! For the cabs to reach here is a night mare as the queue of vehicles to the fort is usually long. I booked a heritage courtyard room which is a small room with the bed occupying most of the space but all amenities were there. The night was also peaceful with no disturbance. The service is good especially the person in the kitchen is too good at service though there could be slight delay with others. Overall I would recommend it except for the inconvenience to get to the hotel and get out of it.
