Summerlaize, West Wittering

We found Bailey's Estate agents very helpful and friendly. The house's fixtures and fittings were still there from possibly the 50's 60's sort of era which is not a negative! It was very clean and well kept and cool in the searing heat we had last week. The Verandah was the best part, providing shade and a lovely place to eat. The kids enjoyed the dvds and playing in the garden. The bunkbed room was very light in the mornings in spite of us putting up our blackout blind we'd brought with us. That room had a fan. The kitchen was well equipped apart from not having a freezer apart from the small one in the fridge. The location couldn't have been better, close to the beach and shops. There's plenty of places to eat or buy takeaway food. We would definitely stay there again.

Lack of freezer and the amount of light coming into the kids room.

Good location. Property was spacious. Easy walk to the beach and local shops. The outside space was enjoyed by all.

Dated bathroom with difficult temperature control of water. Difficult driveway for parking and could only park one car.

I wasn’t able to turn the oven on. I told the Estate Agent, he told me to find a manual online. At the end of the conversation he said he would contact the owner …,

The location was perfect, a quiet street just a short walk from the high street and the beach. Couldn’t be a better place for what we needed! The house was so well maintained it was a delight to find such a blast from the past in such a beautiful state of care!! It was very clean and well stocked. Plenty in the kitchen to use for anything you wanted to do in there!! The garden was a treat as well!

There was no Wi-Fi which was a bit disappointing as we had a couple visitors who didn’t have data so had to go to cafes to get online for check in and train/flight schedules. But outside of that we really didn’t miss the internet.
