The Barn at Hopley House

We were stopping over for a holiday to Cornwall. We were driving from Scotland and it is such a good halfway point we all felt. We were tired after 4 hours and hopley house was a welcome rest. We all had our own bedrooms and bathrooms in the Barn which was an added bonus. We also had a lovely living room with comfortable sofas to chill out on for the evening and there were takeaways like dominos near for something to eat if you don't want to cook. There is a kitchen with microwave, cooker and washing up tools if you do though and coop and supermarket near by. We felt well rested after Hopley house as the beds are really comfortable we all found and the breakfast served in the barn cafe was amazing. My son had eggs benedict and he gobbled it all up in seconds he said it was so good 🤗🤗. The shop at the barn also has lovely cakes and even some glass balloons filled with special made alcohol that has a good variety. I had a cream liquor like Baileys 100ml for an evening night cap and it tasted amazing just like Baileys as I am a Baileys fan. My son who likes golf was hoping to get a game of crazy golf and my other son who has a gecko as a pet wanted to visit the reptile rescue centre near by but we unfortunately didn't have time this trip as didn't realise how much was to see and we needed to get back on the road for Cornwall. We think we will come back there for a holiday though as such a lovely area itself and close to Manchester which we want to visit sometime and go to Manchester united stadium tour soon. 100% recommend and the owners and all staff are lovely and welcoming offering a good reception at breakfast too and a nice friendly chat. Will definitely be back 🙂

I don't think we could complain about anything we were all happy.

Accommodation was good, clean and comfortable

A bit noisy

David is super friendly and really helpful

Nice part of the country Owner and Helen extremely nice and helpful! Apartment spacious with plenty of room Good facilities

Cleanliness - Could be improved upon Previous occupants left old food in fridge? fridge should of have been cleaner inside. Beds very uncomfortable and mattresses needs replacing. It was oppressively hot in the apartment, even with windows open (outside temp early 20s) -maybe several fans would be useful in Summer... there was one small one in our Son's room. We left the entry door open to get air through but had to close when we went to bed. Noise on site very early on - 5-5.30am Sleep compromised.
