Tranquil Library 2brm 1bath private eclectic apt at Solar Lodge

Location was perfect, close to anything you'd need. Parking was a little tricky since the street is quite narrow and full of cars, but overall manageable. I ADORED the entire place, every nook and cranny had some cool, interesting book or item. There was plenty of space for us to hang out and chat, kitchen was fully stocked with any utensils or dishes you'd need and roomy enough to use. The complimentary snacks and wine were appreciated, and we loved that we could also play board games, watch films, listen to music, and just spend time together in what was basically a private bookstore/gamer's lounge/cafe. Hosts were accommodating, quick to respond, and lovely - I wish I could have stayed longer, and absolutely want to stay here again next time I'm in Chicago!

The bathroom was beautiful and clean and had everything we needed in it (color coded and even has a bidet!). However, it was the only place I could think of improving because the shower's water would spray out of the side of the pipe and get on the floor, and the water pressure was concentrated into one stream. Nothing we couldn't handle, the curtain helped a little, and it's totally understandable since it's an older building, but that was the only downside.

The Solar Lodge is an amazing apartment. It has everything you need to stay in Chicago, and more. The kitchen is fully equipped, the bathroom is nice and clean, and the bed is comfortable. The place itself is unique for all the books and the furniture. We really recommend it!
