Periyaveettil Heritage

A lovely heritage property beautifully remodeled for a comfortable stay. The house interiors and exteriors were artfully done. The hosts were super friendly and very responsive to our queries. They also served us a yummy breakfast and arranged transport for local sightseeing. The house is only 3 kms from the famous Shiv Parti Temple and 20-30 mins by car from the backwaters. Will stay again

The nearby church was playing music at odd hours because of Onam.

​We had a truly wonderful time at Periya Veetil Heritage. It is located in a beautifully calm and peaceful area, making it the perfect spot for a family get-together. ​The highlight of the property is definitely the traditional architecture—they have a charming small nalukettu (4 kettu) inside the building and a lovely small pond. The pond is filled with fishes and even a small tortoise, which everyone loved watching. ​Our stay was incredibly pleasant from start to finish. A special mention goes to our host, Darsan, who was always available to help us with anything we needed. Highly recommended if you are looking for a peaceful and memorable family stay!

The entire property is very beautifully developed and maintained. Truly gives the experience of living in a traditional Kerala style home. All the amenities were very good and it's a clean and well maintained space. The host is also very helpful and cooperative. Comfortable for a group of 6-7 people. The host was kind enough to help us with groceries and giving suggestions about the area + arranging breakfast (at an additional cost). We had a great experience overall! Would definitely recommend to others and also would love to visit again sometime.

Small areas of improvement, not a blocker by any means - 1. The window in the master bedroom next to the pond could have a curtain. In the daytime it's a beautiful spot to sit with open curtains, but at night time, especially if the 3rd single bed against the window is being used, there is a feeling of lack of privacy. 2. In the living room+dining area space, there is an open window near the swing/gramophone. Since the garden is right outside with a lot of plants and trees, during rain, there is a fear of insects etc. crawling in.
