Detached country house surrounded by meadows and forests in a completely secluded location. Beautiful hiking and biking trails start right at the house. There’s a great covered barbecue area with a fireplace. The beautiful garden offers a variety of uses. A ping-pong table, a foosball table, and a dartboard are located in the double garage, providing fun in any weather. The charming, antique country-style decor immediately invites you to relax. The kitchen is fully equipped. Outside of peak vacation seasons, we can usually extend check-in and check-out times.

The house is an old half-timbered house with 160 square meters of living space spread over two floors. On the first floor is a large living area with a large dining table and two smaller tables for playing games or reading. The kitchen, a bedroom with a bunk bed (140 cm on the bottom and 90 cm on top), a small bathroom, and a separate toilet are also on the first floor. Upstairs, there are four bedrooms, a larger bathroom with a toilet, and another large living room with a TV. If needed, you can also sleep on mattresses in this room.

The house is furnished in an antique, romantic country house style. The kitchen isn’t very large, but it has everything you need—the stove and Gaggenau oven are 90 cm wide. A second refrigerator with a freezer compartment is located in the basement. There is an ample supply of dishes, silverware, and glasses. From the living area, you have direct access to a beautiful sun terrace. Across the courtyard, you’ll find the old open barn. There is a brick grill with two fire pits under stainless steel grates and a beautiful sandstone fireplace. Next to the barn is a double garage where beer benches can be set up in case you’re caught in the rain. Otherwise, there’s a ping-pong table, a foosball table, and a dartboard. The firm lawn in front of the garage is perfect for playing badminton or bocce. Of course, the other meadows in the garden are also perfect for a large croquet course.

Right from the house, you can quickly reach wonderful hiking and biking trails, away from the tourist crowds. In the peaceful and varied surroundings, you’ll find various lakes for swimming as well as the romantic half-timbered towns of Marburg and Alsfeld. The Kellerwald Nature Park and Lake Eder are easily accessible.

The house is ideal for a lovely weekend getaway for families or groups, as well as a versatile vacation home.

In this quiet and diverse setting, you’ll find various swimming lakes as well as the romantic small towns of Marburg and Alsfeld.

The house has only one Wi-Fi network with a fiber-optic internet connection. While cell phone reception isn’t the best, the radiation from the Wi-Fi is minimal.PGJyPgPGJyPgFamilies with small children should note that there are two small, shallow ponds on the property in front of the house that are not fenced in. Additionally, the electrical outlets in the house are not childproofed, and the old staircase is rather steep. The house is secured with an alarm and security cameras. Of course, the system is only active when the house is unoccupied.
