An experience for every kind of "class"—from the working class seeking relaxation and classic extended family reunions to the business and upper classes looking to get "back to basics." This location is also first-class for hiking groups, gatherings of friends, and nature-filled holidays. With our large conference and social room (expected to open in 2027), the lodge is also a great place for professional development and training. This room is also perfect for sophisticated extended family celebrations when the entire house is rented out.
What we don't appreciate at all are loud party clubs, bachelor/bachelorette parties, overly boisterous sports clubs, and rowdy groups of young adults.

Lodge & Location:
Situated in the Wakenfeld area, high up on the Upland Pass between Willingen and Usseln (2.5 km from each). Both the B251 road and the Upland Railway traverse this pass at an elevation of 640 meters above sea level.
Historically, the building served as a stagecoach station until 1914 (when the Upland Railway opened). Step outside and you are immediately surrounded by magnificent nature and the region's finest hiking trails, leading across the highest peaks of the Upland and Sauerland regions. Within walking distance, you can reach the Mühlenkopf World Cup ski jump, the biathlon arena, and Germany’s longest suspension bridge—the 670-meter-long "Skywalk."

The lodge is divided into two large, functionally equipped units: "Campus OBERSTUFE" (Upper Level) for 13 people on the 2nd floor, and "Campus MITTELSTUFE" (Middle Level) for 10 people on the 1st floor. The two units differ in that the "OBERSTUFE" (Upper Level) features four shower rooms and a large eat-in kitchen with a balcony and garden access, while the "MITTELSTUFE" (Middle Level) on the first floor has two shower rooms, a large terrace, and separate areas for cooking/dining and living. Both units can be rented together to accommodate up to 23 people upon request.
To reflect the traditional character of the historic building, the décor is a blend of modern and retro styles. Our conference and seminar room is located on the ground floor.

Layout of the "OBERSTUFE" Campus (accommodates 13 people on the 2nd floor):
- Eat-in kitchen with a large dining table and a living area featuring a 55-inch satellite TV.
- The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, large refrigerator, separate freezer, microwave, dual coffee maker, toaster, ample dinnerware, and a selection of spices.
- One bedroom with a double bed and a single bed.
- Two bedrooms with double beds.
- Two bedrooms with two single beds each.
- 4 shower rooms/WCs.
- One double room features an additional in-room shower and sink.
- Balcony.
- Garden area with seating and a barbecue.

"GRUNDSTUFE" Campus for seminars and family gatherings (expected availability from 2027):
- Optional meeting and function room on the ground floor (available for additional rent) featuring a large-screen TV, conference technology, sound system, and table seating for up to 20 people.
- Catering kitchenette with food-warming equipment, dinnerware, and a dishwasher.
- Restrooms (men's and women's).
- The rental rate for the "GRUNDSTUFE" is €99 per day plus a €150 setup fee.
(Suitability for celebrations must be discussed in advance!)
Upon booking, a list of regional catering providers is available upon request.
. Communal facilities include a large, lockable bicycle garage with wall hooks, as well as a coin-operated washing machine and dryer (expected to be available from 2027).

There is ample parking in front of the building for 20 cars (plus an EV charging station, expected from 2027).

ATTENTION – important information for clubs! With regard to the party tourism scene in Willingen, we wish to point out that we value refined guests; we do not desire or tolerate "excessive revelry"—such as partying, loud music, or boisterous celebrations—on the terrace, on the balcony, or inside the house! Permanent tenants live on the ground floor! Quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM must be strictly observed!
You are welcome guests if you enjoy yourselves at local venues but behave quietly and considerately while in the house. We ask that you honestly assess whether you are a good fit for us. Please also be sure to consult Section 12 of our Terms and Conditions! We do not rent to dedicated party clubs, bachelor/bachelorette parties, "social" sports clubs, or groups of young adults under the age of 30!

Additional pricing information:

All base rates apply to 10 people and include bed linen (beds made up prior to arrival), towels, and final cleaning.

Please be sure to observe the following guidelines:

1. When inquiring or booking, please avoid scheduling arrivals or departures on Saturdays whenever possible, as we do not wish to "break up" high-demand weekends. Therefore, please aim to arrive on a Friday or Sunday instead of a Saturday.

We only accept Saturday arrivals/departures in exceptional cases and charge a surcharge of €300, which is not displayed in the price calculator!

2. Other exceptions regarding arrival/departure:
- Ski Jumping: Arrival only possible on Thu./Fri. (no Saturday arrivals)
- Carnival: Arrival only possible on Thu./Fri. (not Sat., Sun., or Rose Monday)
- Easter: No arrivals possible on Easter Saturday or Easter Sunday
- Easter: No departures possible on Good Friday, Easter Saturday, or Easter Sunday
- Whitsun (Pentecost): No arrivals or departures possible on Whit Sunday!
- Christmas holidays: No departures possible on Dec. 24, 25, 26, 31, or New Year's Day.

A local tourist tax is added to all prices; currently €2.50 per person/night for guests aged 15 and older (as of 2024).

Security deposit & payment terms:
A standard security deposit of €500 is required for this property. Please transfer the security deposit along with the balance payment no later than 14 days prior to arrival; it will be refunded to you within seven to ten business days after departure.

Payment terms:
- 20% deposit due within one week of receiving the booking confirmation.
- Balance payment due no later than 14 days prior to arrival.
- For last-minute bookings (less than 42 days in advance), the full amount must be transferred within 24 hours of receiving the booking confirmation.
- Cash payment on-site is not possible.
