About this house rental
Welcome to this charming 1915 Craftsman, a home filled with history, creativity, and a deep sense of care. This was our mother’s house, and much of the artwork, décor, and color throughout the space reflects her original vision. We’ve preserved what made it special while updating the essentials for comfort and ease.
We welcome guests from all over the world, and we’ve shaped the home to feel warm, personal, and inviting—whether you're here for work, exploration, or rest.
The Bathroom
A spacious, newly remodeled bath with a deep soaking tub, rainfall-style shower, and a tucked-away toilet nook. Plenty of counter space and a large mirror make getting ready effortless.
The Kitchen
A fully equipped, modern kitchen featuring:
• Extensive dishware & eclectic glassware
• Coffee maker, French press, kettle, blender
• Ample cookware, sharp knives, spices, oils, and essentials
Everything you need to cook a real meal—or several.
Bedrooms
Two cozy bedrooms with comfortable beds (one queen, one full), plus closets and dressers for settling in. An optional futon in the living room can sleep one additional guest.
Living and Dining
A light-filled living room with ample sofa seating, handcrafted décor, and original built-ins. The dining area comfortably seats 4–5 for shared meals or remote work.
Outdoor Spaces
A street-facing patio perfect for morning coffee with comfortable furniture, plus a shaded pergola seating area at the front of the property for relaxing in the evenings. The garden features mature fruit trees, flowers, and a variety of lush greenery.
The Neighborhood
Located in one of San Diego’s most vibrant historic urban neighborhoods—where I’ve lived since 2008—it offers unbeatable access to the city’s best areas: Downtown, Gaslamp, Balboa Park, North Park, South Park, Hillcrest, Bankers Hill, Barrio Logan, Coronado, Petco Park, and the Convention Center. You're also just 20 minutes from the border.
This home is a comfortable, soulful base for exploring San Diego like a local.
