Deluxe double room # 8 - Das Adler by Dilpert

The Adler has 5 Deluxe Double Rooms spread across the 1st and 2nd floors. The Deluxe Double Rooms range in size from 30 to 36 m². They are slightly larger than the standard double rooms and feature a separate kitchenette. The double rooms offer views to the north toward the Old Town and the Gehrenberg, as well as to the south, with a sweeping vista toward Lake Constance and all the way to the Swiss Alps. One double room features a wheelchair-accessible bathroom. The bathroom door is very wide, and both the door and the walk-in shower are wheelchair-accessible. The toilet and sink are set slightly lower.



The Adler has been welcoming guests since September 1, 2025! It took two years of planning and just under three years of construction to bring the 18th-century Adler Inn back to life. The extensive renovation included a complete overhaul of the entire building, a full extension on the east side, and the addition of a new residential floor. On the first, second, and third floors, the Golden Adler invites you to stay high above the historic rooftops of Markdorf. On the first floor, however, a culinary restaurant welcomes you within historic walls that now shine with new splendor. A former bowling alley in a historic vaulted cellar has been transformed into Markdorf’s “Szenenbar.” A total of 14 one-bedroom apartments, two two-bedroom apartments, and two three-bedroom apartments were created across three floors. The 18 apartments are divided into 6 different categories, which—while offering the same amenities and comfort—differ in room size and layout unterscheiden.as Adler was born from a traditional inn steeped in history and now combines that heritage with a modern, contemporary concept for young and old alike. Whether for a family vacation, a short city break, or a business trip, we are rewriting tradition.


We offer our guests the greatest possible comfort and flexibility upon arrival. This means you can enter Das Adler and check into your apartment independently, without having to worry about opening hours.


For our discerning guests, all apartments offer the comfort of a hotel combined with the spaciousness of a vacation rental. A private, fully equipped kitchenette, a cozy sitting area, and the unique decor create a comfortable, home-like atmosphere and offer more flexibility during your vacation.


“Meet and Great” is our motto here—local guests mingle with an international crowd. The in-house terrace, with a view over the southern part of Markdorf toward Lake Constance and all the way to the mountains, is open to all guests. The special ambiance warmly invites you to enjoy breakfast in the morning sun or a glass of wine at sunset.


For guests who want to truly enjoy their vacation, we offer a breakfast service of a very special kind. The neighboring Café Harmonie serves a selection of homemade breakfast items. You’ll be spoiled for choice: breakfast in your pajamas in your room or breakfast at Café Harmonie right across the street
