About this house rental
Hill Cottage is owned by the Native Forest Restoration Trust (NFRT), a registered charitable trust. The cottage is nestled in the heart of our Pigeon Bush native forest reserve, which encompasses almost 1200ha of threatened native forest at the base of the Remutaka Ranges. The NFRT reserve forms a vital ecological link between the Remutaka and Tararua Conservation Parks, expanding these native forest boundaries and creating a large protected corridor for wildlife.
As a registered charity, we receive no regular government funding and rely on donations to support our conservation work. Every stay at Hill Cottage helps protect and restore Pigeon Bush Reserve, with all profits going directly into this work. Thank you for supporting our work by choosing to stay at Hill Cottage! If you’d like to find out more about our reserves across New Zealand, and the work we do protecting and restoring these threatened native ecosystems, please visit www.nfrt.org.nz
Immerse yourself in nature’s tranquillity and enjoy the perfect blend of cosy charm, history, and outdoor adventure at Hill Cottage.
Please be aware that there are security cameras, placed in the outdoor areas that will be operating for added security during your stay.
