Often, we see beautiful wildlife -- a flock of cormorants fishing in the mornings, great blue herons, ducks, lots of catfish jumping, and even a bald eagle!
At Sunset Harbor Retreat, you’ll find:
A spacious, fully-stocked kitchen perfect for big breakfasts, pancake flips, and memory-making meals.
A cozy fire pit where you can roast s’mores, swap stories, and stay up just a little too late under the stars.
A wide-open lakefront perfect for fishing, skipping rocks, or just watching the ripples roll by. We have stairs that lead into the water, making swimming convenient. We provide some fishing gear, but for the serious enthusiast, feel free to bring your own!
A private dock ready for your rented boat — bring your lake toys, tie up with ease, and spend your days on the water.
And when you’re ready for a quick grocery run or a bite out, you’re just 5 minutes from Walmart and local restaurants — so everything you need is within reach, but far enough to feel like a true escape.

We absolutely loved our stay and can't recommend this property enough! The home sits right on the lake with breathtaking sunset views that we looked forward to every evening. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and thoughtful—they had snacks waiting for us, supplies for s'mores, and were always quick to respond with helpful tips or answers to our questions.The home is beautifully maintained, exceptionally clean, and had plenty of comfortable sleeping arrangements for our group. We spent hours fishing from the private boat dock and caught lots of catfish. Having a boat ramp just a few houses away made launching our jet skis quick and easy.The property itself is gorgeous, with plenty of mature trees providing shade and a constant breeze coming off the lake. It truly has everything you need for the perfect lake getaway. We cooked all of our meals at the house—there's a Walmart only about five minutes away for anything you might need—and we made great use of both the grill and the Blackstone every day.Our evenings were spent relaxing on the covered patio or up on the boat dock balcony, taking in the spectacular sunsets over the water. If you enjoy morning walks, the neighborhood is quiet, safe, and perfect for getting outside.We honestly can't say enough about this home or the wonderful hosts. Their attention to detail and hospitality made our trip even more enjoyable. This was one of the best VRBO experiences we've had, and we are already looking forward to coming back!
