It cools the house by pulling the warm, dry desert air through wet pads and pushing the cooled air into the house. While it doesn't get quite as cold as a traditional A/C, it maintains the house at a comfortable temperature and has the advantage of constantly drawing fresh, cool air into the house. It is also much more energy efficient for a more sustainable stay!
