“Wa Hakone Gora” is a 120-square-meter traditional Japanese house built 63 years ago, featuring a cherry blossom theme. It retains the lived-in feel of the home where my grandfather, a tatami craftsman, lived since 1961.
Since the grandfather passed away and there was no one left to live there, we have converted it into a guesthouse.
The tatami mats, sliding doors, and furniture have been replaced with new ones.Conversely, we have intentionally left the old scratches and sun-faded marks on the floors and pillars. This is what makes our inn unique.

A washer-dryer is provided.

The room was exactly as described and shown in the photos. If you’re driving, it’s very convenient—it’s near the Open-Air Museum (our favorite attraction in Hakone) and only 20 minutes from the main attractions.However, if you don’t have a car, you may need to plan a bit more carefully. There are several restaurants in the area, and a 7-Eleven is a 3-minute walk away. If you have a large vehicle, the provided parking space isn’t suitable for an SUV, so please check where to park first.

This house was perfect for our family of six. There is a narrow, long staircase leading to the second floor with no handrail, and there is no bathroom on the second floor. Part of the house is off-limits to guests.

The room was exactly as described and shown in the photos. If you’re driving, it’s very convenient—it’s near the Open-Air Museum (our favorite attraction in Hakone) and only 20 minutes from the main attractions.However, if you don’t have a car, you may need to plan a bit more carefully. There are several restaurants in the area, and a 7-Eleven is a 3-minute walk away. If you have a large vehicle, the provided parking space isn’t suitable for an SUV, so please check where to park first.

This house was perfect for our family of six. There is a narrow, long staircase leading to the second floor with no handrail, and there is no bathroom on the second floor. Part of the house is off-limits to guests.

About the Accommodation
A 120-square-meter, 63-year-old traditional Japanese house with a cherry blossom theme“Wa Hakone Gora.” It retains the lived-in feel of the tatami craftsman grandfather who lived here since 1961.
Since the grandfather passed away and no one was left to live there, we have converted it into a guesthouse.
The tatami mats, sliding doors, and furniture have been replaced with new ones.Conversely, we have intentionally left the old scratches and sun-faded marks on the floors and pillars. This is what makes our inn unique.
If you are seeking a facility where everything is brand-new or perfect, we may not be able to meet your expectations.
We look forward to your visit, provided you understand this point.
Additionally, while our location adjacent to a major road makes getting around convenient, you will always hear traffic noise.
We recommend other accommodations for guests who are sensitive to noise.
The location is a 60-meter walk from the Miyagino Information Center bus stop.
There are 4 beds.
Groups of 5 or more will have to sleep on fold-out mats.

The floor plan consists of a 5LK layout (living room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms on the 2nd floor, 1 Western-style room, and 2 Japanese-style rooms on the 1st floor), a bathroom, and a toilet.
The open kitchen is equipped with a microwave, kettle, stove, and refrigerator, which you are free to use.
A washer-dryer is provided.

The bedroom and bedding configurations are as follows.
2nd Floor Japanese-Style Room: 2 single beds
2 semi-double beds
Up to 4 guests:【Bed Use】
You may use the beds (4 in total) in the bedroom as is.
For 5 to 7 guests:[Additional Mattresses (Self-Service)]
In addition to the beds listed above, you may set up the additional mattresses stored in the closet of the first-floor Japanese-style room yourself to sleep on.This room can be set up with minimal preparation.
For 8 to 13 guests: [Additional Mattresses (Requires Moving Furniture / Self-Service)]
If the number of guests increases further, you will need to set up the mattresses stored in the closets in the living room or other areas on your own.
Additionally, to ensure there is enough space to lay out the mattresses in these rooms, you will be required to move furniture such as sofas on your own.

For the reasons stated above, we strongly recommend that this facility be used by no more than 7 guests.
In particular, stays with 10 or more adults will not only make the rooms extremely cramped but will also place a significant burden on guests to set up the accommodations themselves (including moving furniture).
We ask that you fully understand and consider this point before making your reservation.

Fireworks are strictly prohibited.There are no permitted locations for fireworks in the surrounding area either.
《About the Natural Environment》
As our facility is located in a nature-rich environment, you may encounter wildlife such as wild birds, squirrels, and beetles.
While we take measures to prevent insects from entering the rooms, it is difficult to prevent them entirely; therefore, we do not recommend staying here for guests who are uncomfortable around insects.
We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

In cases of severe damage or excessive dirt, we may charge additional cleaning fees or seek compensation for damages.Additionally, we will charge the full amount for any damaged or stolen items.
《Prohibited Acts》
・Noise that disturbs the neighborhood (especially at night through early morning)(Fine: 33,000 yen)
・Smoking inside the room or around the building, littering cigarette butts, or vomiting (Fine: 55,000 yen)
・Illegal dumping of trash in the neighborhood (Fine: 33,000 yen)
・Defacing, damaging, or removing indoor fixtures (you will be billed for costs incurred, such as purchasing replacements)
・Exceeding the authorized number of occupants without permission (22,000 yen per person)
・ Re-configuration fees incurred by unplugging the Wi-Fi power cord (30,000 yen)
《Identification Documents》
In accordance with the Hotel Business Act, all guests are required to submit identification documents.
If you do not submit the documents by 12:00 PM on the day before your scheduled stay, we will consider this a cancellation request. Furthermore, if you submit the documents after 12:00 PM on the day before your scheduled stay, we will treat this as an expression of intent to make a separate reservation from your original application, and will treat it as two separate reservation requests.Furthermore, even if these two requests are made on the same day, we will treat them as coexisting and will not consider one to automatically lapse; you are deemed to have agreed to this condition upon submitting your application.
