Area was overall amenable to travel and the first stop on the cable car. House is less than a minute away from the stop, too. I wish they had told us it costs 200 yen per load of laundry and 100 yen per 20 mins of drying. We would have been better prepared.

The property exceeded my expectations. The only complaint I have is that some of the entries in their complementary guidebook led to some wasted time due to inaccuracies. I would definitely go to this accomodation again but I hope by then they have updated their book.
Also there's the apparent fact that no public onsen seem to be in the area, so you should probably plan for going to hakone yamoto (hope I spelled that right) to get access to those. There actually is a small public one near this accomodation but I forgot the name.
