This is such a beautiful house in a great spot in Cappagh near Kilrush. Tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable and it has the most amazing views of the Shannon Estuary. Michael, our host was very good at communicating and met us at the house to let us in. He showed us around the house, gave us some tips on places to go and was available for us if needed. There are 3 bedrooms and a lounge on the ground floor and then a bedroom with ensuite and the lounge and kitchen on the upper floor. Sounds weird, but you'll understand why when you see the views! There is a great little pub called The Galleon Inn within a 3 minute walk. Kilrush is about a 5 minute drive and has plenty of pubs or places to eat. I can highly recommend Oilean's restaurant. The food was outstanding. Avoid the Harbour Bar & Restaurant for cocktails. We asked for two bloody mary's and after 3 people arguing about it, we got something that didn't resemble a BM at all!! It was so bad, we didn't have to pay for it. Apparently the food is good in there, but it seemed chaotic so not somewhere I would try.
