Casa do Jardim Botanico

Fantastische ligging op de kliffen met schitterend uitzicht in rustige straat, heerlijk huis. De tuin is ook prachtig.

Het liep niet helemaal soepel met het bureau dat het huis verhuurt: er waren te weinig dekens en theedoeken, meteen om gevraagd maar zijn niet gebracht. Werd ook niet gereageerd op melding van kapotte toilet en whirlpool. Overigens is het huis zeker groot genoeg voor 7 personen, maar de uitrusting er niet op ingesteld. Bij buitentafel stonden maar 3 stoelen, serviesgoed voor 5 in de keuken en voor 4 personen plek om te zitten in de woonkamer.

Great view from the balcony with a beautiful garden and the house had a lot of character. The kitchen was well equipped and the host was very responsive and helpful. A great base for exploring other parts of Madeira away from Funchal and it is good value for money.

There were lots of bugs in the house (centipedes and spiders) which is to be expected given the rural location. The narrow entrance driveway will be challenging for some to reverse down but we found it manageable.
