Glacier Cottage

Amazing views and quiet location. Close to town.

Not blown away by the cottage itself. For the money per night the facilities are dated eg couches are significantly faded and therefore look dirty, some linen and cushions were marked, the bed in the room with one bed was bouncy and it was difficult to share with anyone else as any movement felt like a trampoline, and there was no power point in the bathroom. I went on a hunt for a clothes drying rack in the laundry and found a rusty old thing in the corner; the internal clothes line in the shed was taken up with sheets and the outside clothes lines were not practical with the weather. Not great for a family of 5.

Location was amazing if you’re looking for a peaceful, private accomodation with fantastic views. The place was actually very clean and host was friendly and sent helpful hints prior our stay. Can walk down the river on warm, sunny days and had a few animals around to see. Water pressure especially the shower was great. Has a picnic table outside where you can have your breakfast or sunset dinners. Glad most of the place were fully booked and this was the only place left as we really enjoyed our stay here. Only 5 minutes drive from the town center. Would definitely come back and stay at this place.

Beds were a bit outdated and wobbled a lot, probably will do need newer beds in the future.

Great location

Didn’t smell very nice, needs a good spring clean. Had to wash all dishes, cups, glasses, cutlery before we could use as they had been put away dirty. Tap had old food on, kitchen cupboards had food stains down them. No extractor in kitchen and extractor in bathroom didn’t work. Kitchen floor was sticky had not been mopped properly.
