room met my expectations for that price. room clean and tidy with well working tv. surroundings looks not much safe but I was caming back walking from metro station every day late (around midnight) and no any problems happened. in first day I asked police and they said it was not much danger but not the safest place in Chicago. For new guests coming late: be connected to internet and check your email box - you may get there door codes for house and room acces as there is no reception in this property and you do there on your own. In case you try to call you may hear voice mail. If I come to Chicago again will I book this place again? Answer is "YES". Owner/staff met expectations to be in touch and communication flow.

The location and the quiet.
The windows tend to be screwed shut. The laundry is way too expensive.

The location, the quiet, and the management flexibility. I got to stay in the same room after I paid for an extension on booking.com, which was very helpful.
The laundry unit requires 3.5 dollars in quarters per machine (washing machine + drying machine) which is a total of 7 dollars, and either machine does not have an app system that notifies the user once the cycle is over. It’s too expensive and not practical.

Quite good for the price compared to hostel, gives a bit of privacy even within a small room, I didn’t use the kitchen but this could be an option for some people.
The location, the neighbourhood is very quiet, to a point I didn’t feel safe 100% so I have to go back early evening!
