This house is amazing!! It’s a beautiful location, modern, huge layout. The host had left a basket with hot cross buns and doughnuts which was a lovely gesture. We all walked in and my daughter said “Mum this is gorgeous” my son commented that “nothing would ever compare to this”. It’s a gorgeous house and would have given 10 stars immediately but a few things unfortunately pulled it down.
The free WIFI is terrible unfortunately, the house is in the countryside and I know that can cause a struggle with signal. But the host might benefit from buying a signal booster as we found the signal was better in the living room but really bad at the bedrooms in the end of the house, it could be because of how large the property is but unfortunately internet is an important feature these days especially with teenagers.
The fridge unfortunately was another area where the score dropped, from the minute we opened it there was an awful smell. It also didn’t keep things at any temperature other that tepid no matter if you turned the dial up or not. This made the drinks we had bought with us less enjoyable as they weren’t nice and cold even after being in there 24 hours and the kids wouldn’t eat the strawberries I had bought because of the smell from the fridge coating them which was a shame.
Last little annoyance was the bedroom with the patio doors - 1 wouldn’t lock and there was no key so my son had to sleep in that room knowing that it could be entered from the outside by anyone during the night and when we went out the following day to Zipworld meaning it didn’t feel properly safe.
