Buchanan Penthouse

- Apartment is in an ideal location from the station and center of the city. - The apartment was well equipped with basic items such as toiletries, cutlery etc. - The cleanliness of the apartment could not be faulted. - Instructions on accessing the property arrived in a timely manner and are very easy to follow. No problems overall, we had reasonable expectations and found all basic requirements covered.

There was only a couple of minor issues with the actually property itself. nothing major: - The main double bed while comfortable, is incredibly squeaky/noisy. - The shower was itself adequate, but the shower head holder is broken and does not support the head itself, meaning you need to use a hand. - The property itself was clean, but is a little more worn down in areas than the pictures suggest, again these are minor points and small cosmetic issues such as cracked tiles, patched up parts of walls, divots in the matting etc. Outside of the property there are a couple of things to note, while I would not mark the room down for these as it sits outside of their control, its worth being aware of: - It is a city center, in Glasgow, so expect a bit of outside noise. I have seen other people point this out, but its nothing a decent pair of earplugs didn't fix, despite emergency work taking place outside the building meaning drilling was occurring in the early hours we found it easy enough to drift off with them in. - The apartment building itself is a little worse for wear in areas, again I would not blame the apartment for this at all, but do be aware. There was rubbish strewn across the lobby, lift and 5th floor leading up to the room.

The property was in a good location in the middle of the city centre close to everything shops and bars and restaurants. It was very clean and comfortable. Had everything you needed it was great.

The only thing would’ve been the outside as you approached the building it was a bit untidy outside the front door.

Central location

Not very clean. Noisy as the dump trucks come early in the morning.

Perfect location for a place to stay, so handy for all the shops and restaurants. A lovely spacious flat with an excellent view, also feels very safe and secure. Lots of natural light so the flat is very bright and well lit. The host was very responsive and quick to reply to any messages which was helpful. We would say the flat needs a bit of work, and tlc to improve the stay

There were a few small issues we had during our stay: Firstly the lift up to the flat was broken - although it is not a fault of the flat itself it would have been nice to know in advance as there are a lot of steps to carry large suitcases up or for anyone who is less able. The next problem was that any outside noise was very loud in the flat. If you are a light sleeper be aware that you hear a lot of street noise. And the twin room has lots of banging from the stairwell doors. The double bed is also very loud and squeaky so you can't move without hearing it. Lastly the flat is in need of some tlc- the main bathroom door doesn't shut never mind lock. So we had to place a bin in front of it to indicate someone was using it as it was always slightly open. There is a few things broken around the flat including the lock on the balcony door, so it is always open and the table is so wobbly its not for using.
