Lovely place in the countryside. José was always there for us and provided bread rolls every morning fresh from the local bakery. A bottle of Portugeuse wine was a lovely welcome along with a bowl full of fruit. The accommodation was a home from home. Comfortable and with air conditioning. The area is well worth exploring. Valença old town is quite big, it surprised us. Really lovely and definitely worth a visit. Cross the border to visit Galicia in Spain. 30 minutes to A Guarda a beachfront town and don't miss Monte Santa Trega and the spectacular views from the top. This was recommended by José. Thank you! Great accommodation and area.
There is a pond in the garden next door and a quite vocal frog. But that's nature, can't do much about that. We slept well so not a problem.
