The room was well-cared for and clean. It was a reasonable walk to the bus station.
This place has amazing potential to be great… but the grounds are not cared for sufficiently. The advertised pool was not swimable, the outdoor furniture was chaotic and unkept, the host was capable and business-like but lacked friendliness. The bedspread was stained but maybe still clean (?).

The location was fabulous, and the house is over 100 years old. The lady who works their (sorry, forgot r name).tall blond. Was very welcoming, warm and friendly. Even helped me out getting to the old town for dinner and browsing. Great kitchen, common room and breakfast.
Very highly recommend.
Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely gardens with hammocks, seating and a pool. Good location for walking into Valença.
Very dark inside room - very low wattage single bulb. Light switch outside bedroom. Couldn’t find any plug sockets. Paid €5 for a very poor breakfast. Cobwebs inside the room.
