Castleton Static lodge on Wold View Fisheries Leisure Park

The lodge was extremely clean, spacious and very well equipped and modern

The location of Castleton Static Lodge is idyllic, just by the lake and the decking verandah provides a dreamy open space from which to enjoy the view. It was lovely to sit on the swing seat taking in the beauty and for the family to gather on the cosy benches under the umbrella. The lodge itself was perfect. Firstly, the beds are very comfy and the single ones standard width which is not always the case. The en suite bathroom for the main bedroom was ideal and very handy to also have the good-sized additional bathroom. The kitchen was great and thank you for the biscuits and chocolates! The living room is spacious with lots of seating and the dining table very handy too. Castleton is one of those rare places where storage has been built in intuitively and to maximise space. Wherever I turned there was an extra cupboard, drawer etc. We have totally fallen for the Lincolnshire Wolds and look forward to returning to Castleton in the Autumn. Many thanks to Neil the owner for all his help, advice and quick response to queries. Look forward to returning.

Leaving ... will be staying longer next time!

The spacious grounds with seven lakes to fish and walk around. The cafe for breakfasts etc. The owner of the caravan / lodge was really nice and flexible with times which makes a huge difference. Fishing from the front of your caravan / lodge is a huge bonus to me. The location of the site in one of our favourite areas which is close to all amenities towns, villages, pubs etc. also not too far from the coast too.

Possibly wi-fi strength but we are on holiday so not a deal breaker for us. No other negatives.

Mattresses were very very soft and didnt support.
