    There were some aspects of our stay that were excellent and there were some aspects that were not so good. Staff were great. We got a really good rate via Agoda for our stay (but I would not have chosen this hotel at their normal rate though). Breakfast was nice, simple but good selection. Our first room had a major leak in the bathroom, bed was a bit soft to my liking but they changed us to another room with a balcony (which was nice). The bed was a bit more firm (which I prefer) than the first room. Walking distance to a nearby mall and metro station (which was awesome). Cleaning staff was very nice. Chain lock on door was very weak and came off when I forgot I locked it and tried to open door. Good thing I had a small Philip’s head screw driver to put it back on. What I found strange was their heating/cooling system. Normally a hotel room’s temperature can be controlled individually, but this hotel has central heating (not sure about their cooling). Meaning they turn on the heat centrally based on season. Our visit fell in between seasons, cool but not cold in the evenings and so the central system was set to “heat”. If the thermostat was turned on, it produced heat regardless of the temperature you selected. So the only option we had was on or off. We kept ours off and had the window or patio door ajar during our stay. It let the cool air in to our liking but also outside noise. Not a big deal because location in a quite area (or we are able to sleep with background noise to a point). However, our last night was sleepless due to our freaky neighbors. At first we thought some poor lady was getting beat up but then realizing what was happening. Didn’t sound “normal” and almost screamed out the balcony to “put a sock in it” but what can you do. Never happened to us before so it was strange for us to say the least. Overall good hotel and would probably stay there again if price was right but our experience was mixed.

    Ahmad at the front desk was too rude and irritating. Not seen person like him to speaking in this way and disrespecting the guests..
