Cosy flat in the heart of Southend Pass The Keys

Fresh towels and bedding Really clean where it matters Spacious Well equipped (apart from no bedside light) Comfy bed Really nice smelling shower gel Really friendly and helpful staff Excellent location - central for everything

I feel bad saying all this, as the staff were so nice but… No bedside light/second switch for main light by bed No soundproofing at all, so lots of noise from upstairs Lots of spiders and old cobwebs - not a good place for arachnophobes Shower - water leaking from bottom of shower head which resulted in poor water pressure unless it was at a certain angle (hopefully this will be fixed soon as it’s now been reported), shower curtain far too long, shower head cradle too low down, too far over into the corner and not adjustable in height - all those factors made showering quite awkward but the shower hose issue being rectified will make a huge difference Uninviting lighting - cool white bulb with no lampshade in main room - just makes the room feel a bit cold and unloved, especially without the addition of warmer lighting eg. a floor/table lamp, but that’s just my opinion Basement flat, so hardly any natural light comes in, no matter how sunny it is outside
