LAKE LOFT - La maison VEDA

We booked the Veda house with my friends, and it was just wonderful. We had the entire property all to ourselves , two villas by the lake, absolutely amazing. The housekeeper, Lakshman, was adorable; he did everything to make us feel at home. And Aurélie came to make breakfast during our stay , the vegan pancake and the homemade pineapple jam were so good! There were three beds in the smaller house, perfect for a couple and two children. In the larger apartment, it s all open, there were two beds plus two more in the living room, you can pull the curtains for a bit of privacy. The apartment itself is beautiful, and the kitchen is so well equipped, I love cooking, so that was a real bonus! And if you enjoy yoga, the yoga studio is stunning. One of our best stays in Sri Lanka!

Maybe just one small thing, it rained a lot the first day and since they were planting grass, the courtyard was a bit muddy. But apart from that, nothing to complain about.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The villa is beautifully designed and equipped with everything you could wish for. The kitchen is fully stocked and perfect for cooking, with a large dining table inside and another one in the lovely covered outdoor area. The location is great, just a short drive with the scooter to a stunning, peaceful beach and several excellent restaurants. The rooftop Shala was one of the highlights of our stay, ideal for yoga, meditation, or simply relaxing while taking in the tranquil lake view. The whole property feels very safe and serene, offering the perfect place to unwind. The house is spacious, spotless, and perfectly suited for a couple or a family. Lilie is a fantastic host. Always responsive, helpful, and full of great local recommendations. She truly made sure everything was perfect for us. We would love to come back again soon.
