The decor was very minimal and pleasant, the whole studio was very tidy, lots of closet space, and water and coffee was provided in the kitchen.

The mattress was very uncomfortable unfortunately and caused neck and back pain after every sleep. We tried to communicate to the host that there was no hair dryer and that the mosquito screen in the bedroom did not close properly. Their answer was that there is no hair dryer, and as for the mosquito screen, they explained that we can simply close the windows and use the A/C. The whole point is to have the option to sleep with fresh air and conserve energy by not consuming A/C. Lastly, there was a beautiful duvet with down feathers but it was way too hot to sleep with this at night, even with the air conditioning, however there was no flat sheet provided. When we expressed this to the host, they suggested we take out the comforter and sleep with the duvet cover. All in all, I felt I did my best to convey honest concerns that would make my stay more pleasant. The host did reply and try to offer solutions but they did not rectify the issues: I would have a appreciated a hair dryer, a screen that worked, and a smooth flat sheet not a textured duvet cover. Last but not least, the lighting in the bathroom was very poor-only from the mirror and resembled a blue light from a smartphone. Also the bathroom mirror and sink were not washed with a clean cloth it seems and when we checked in- it was foggy and streaked. Also the front door would just open on a whim if we didn’t double lock it with the key.
