Halcyon Cottage, Charming Period Property in Deal's Conservation Area

This is a great place to stay.. The host communicated so well throughout - very friendly and extremely helpful with information. Every detail in the house has been thought through to make it easy and comfortable. It is located in a beautiful part of the town and it was brilliant to be able to step out and be walking by the sea in seconds!

The apartment was very charming, nicely decorated, and had comfortable furniture. The back garden area was small but nice for coffee. The host provided everything we needed for a short stay, from salt and pepper to laundry detergent. She was also very responsive to my questions, and allowed us to check in early. The location was perfect for exploring Deal, and less than 10 minutes from the train station so easy to access other parts as well. There was even a fireplace with wood provided!

The stairs to the bedroom and bathroom are a bit steep, but that's to be expected in an old house like this.

We stayed at Halcyon Cottage for a cozy Christmas break and it did not disappoint. Lovely wood burning stove and the house had bags of charm. The bed was very comfortable and a good shower too. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a full Christmas dinner! Thank you to the hosts for the lovely little extras and excellent communication, all of which really made our stay special.

Fantastic location. Comfortable bed and lovely log burning fire. Doreen is a fantastic host with great communication. A very lovely little cottage.
