We recently stayed here for one night and found the accommodation to be average overall. The room is located in a house within a secure estate, which made us feel safe and provided a quiet environment. However, considering the rate of R1,600 per night, we did not feel it offered particularly good value for money. The room amenities were basic, with only Nescafé sachets and sugar provided—no tea or milk. The bathroom was very small, with a compact shower, and a few fixtures had come loose from the wall and were in need of maintenance. Breakfast service only starts at 7:00 am. While a muesli and yogurt breakfast can be arranged for guests leaving earlier, this was disappointing as we specifically booked a room that included breakfast and had hoped for a more substantial option. There were also a few details that seemed to have been overlooked. For example, the bath mat had not been placed in the bathroom and was still hanging over a rail. Additionally, a staff member was smoking cannabis on the lawn directly below our window, which was unexpected and unprofessional. The property has potential thanks to its secure location, but some attention to maintenance, amenities, service details, and professionalism would help justify the room rate.
