Kathmandu Royal Chamber Hotel - Near INTL Airport & Pashupatinath Temple

Interior was modern

nice staff, very helpful owner

A good hotel near the airport, located on a main road and easy to find. The staff were helpful and accommodating. We were initially offered a small, very noisy room on the 1st floor facing the street. After 12:00, we were able to move to an upper-floor room with a lovely view. It was more spacious and clearly a much higher room category. The hotel is newly built, so everything feels quite new. A great place to visit Boudhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple.

The room had no hairdryer, and there were no hangers in the wardrobe. Breakfast was not actually available at 6:00 a.m., despite our asking reception three times what time it started and being told it was served from 6:00. When we arrived, the staff seemed unprepared and simply asked what we wanted to eat. About half an hour later, my husband was brought an omelette, but I never received any breakfast. My coffee arrived at around 6:20. We had told reception that we had an early-morning flight, so this was especially disappointing. It felt as though the staff simply did not want to prepare breakfast that early. There should be chairs by the pool so guests have somewhere to sit and put their clothes.

closer to airport/ no sound in the room and quite

There were blood stains on the pillows, mould on the curtains, and the bed runners were not clean. I also had to carry my own baggage. When I requested a change of pillowcase at the reception, they simply handed me a pillowcase and expected me to change it myself. The food was also very expensive. The amount I paid for breakfast and dinner was more than the room rate itself. I am surprised that I did not complain or say anything during my stay. I work in the Maldives as a Resident Manager, overseeing two luxury hotel operations with 238 rooms, so I fully understand hospitality standards and guest expectations. Unfortunately, the experience was far below the standard I expected.
