Location made the Whale Tale exceptional.

Steep staircase could be a problem for some clients.

The location was superb. The view onto Walker Bay is an absolute treasure. Once could have sat and stared out all day! The accommodation itself was fresh and bright. It was excellent to be able to come and go, to manage our own washing, to visit local spots as well as to have the choice, too, of a quiet day/night in.

The west-facing sun can be a bit of a challenge from the veranda in the afternoon, but really that seems petty to 'complain' about.

Beautiful location and views. The unit is very well appointed, tastefully furnished, and super neat. There is nothing to critique. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating.

We are family of 4 with two teenagers who stayed at Whaletale for a week. Tim and Lesley are wonderful hosts who know the surrounding area very well providing us with useful information on what to see and do in the area. WhaleTale is ideally located to explore the Overberg region and is situated on the edge of the Walker Bay reserve with its many caves and unspoilt nature - we were lucky to spot 3 Cape Clawless Otters on an early morning walk. We were greeted with a very generous welcome pack which included a bottle of wine and Christmas cake as we were staying over Christmas. The apartment is fully equiped with every thing you need and includes a generous covered porch (stoep) and an enclosed braai area at the back. The greatest feature of the apartment is the magnificent 180 degree view of Walker Bay which can be enjoyed from the stoep or any of the rooms.
