A perfect place to relax and enjoy a true Italian experience.

La Torretta was such a wonderful place to stay, steeped in history, just round the corner from the main square (where the bus from the station arrives and leaves) Our host had left us ample breakfast treats to have at our leisure. Everything was nearby, even the tourist information centre. We found it hard to leave such a lovely apartment and Orte is one of the loveliest places we have stayed in in Italy.

Cosiest bead and breakfast

The owner was so lovely, she told us all about the history of the building, the city and the surrounding area. We had a great time, the room was beautiful and the breakfast was generous! This place is definitely worth a detour just to enjoy the town and this hotel.

Superb

very comfortable room with a small kitchen and private bathroom . We stayed here on an inter-railing trip rather than the overpriced accommodation in Rome . There are good train connections to Rome (42 min journey) and the small hilltop village of Orte is a delight . As other reviewers have said the quantity and variety of food provided for breakfast is excellent; ham, cheese, cereal, bread, yoghurt, fruit, biscuits … highly recommended

La Dolce Vita

I felt like I was in a Sophia Loren movie from the 1960's staying here. Charming ,retro, original. Steeped in history above Roman and Etruscan ruins in a medieval hilltop village. The hosts are friendly and kind.. Self service breakfast with a lot of options.All very clean.

No wifi while I was there, check with host when you arrive.

Fantastic, well equipped apartment

A perfect place to stay and it was as described. The apartment was very clean with plenty of towels and bedding. The kitchen area was well stocked and we couldn't believe how much breakfast had been provided and there were lots of options to suit dietary needs e.g almond milk. The host was very welcoming and said we could knock on their door if we needed anything. We parked our car in the covered car park which was free from 8pm to 8am and it was easy to find. Overall, it was excellent value for money.

Historic and spacious

We thoroughly enjoyed the location and rooms - we were given 3 room self-contained apartment. The hostess Tiziana and her husband ensured we were well looked after. They provided a new style Dyson fan to help with the hot weather and an enjoyable breakfast each morning in their Roman "taverna". We learned a lot about Orte and would definitely recommend.

The wifi set up was a little tricky and the mattress was unusual but we slept well.

Great location in a dramatic medieval hill top town

A wonderful typical medieval hill top town with dramatic views. Friendly helpful hosts. A thoughtful breakfast was provided in the kitchen of the apartment. In the cantina there was a beautiful nativity scene (presepio).

Don’t expect to be able to park a car next to the property but that is part of the charm!

Over the top Charm and service!

The hosts were awesome!! Tiziana was very helpful in finding parking and finding our way out of town. The chocolate croissant Sunday morning was the best ever! This charming hill town is worth a longer visit and this B&B is a perfect place to stay. We got a parking ticket on our last night in town and she offered to turn in our payment at the post office on Monday since we were leaving on Sunday. Tiziana was charming, spoke English, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great visit.

The bed was a bit too hard for my comfort but seems typical in Italy. A foam pad would easily solve this one problem.

Friendly, helpful, enjoyable for a quiet stay.

Tizuana was very helpful, spike excellent English and i got to hear music lessons on floor below- she runs a music studio here also . She gave great directions and offered tape and scissors to help me pack a box i was posting home.

There are lots of stairs snd my luggage was too heavy but she let me keep in on the bottom floor. The town itself is sn etruscan relic so there are underground tunnels one can see but not much in way of other attractions.

Uma adorável estadia em Orte!

A localização é excelente, no centro histórico da cidade e muito perto da praça principal (Orte antiga é pequena e agradavel). As instalações são amplas e têm tudo o que é preciso, alem dd uma bela vista da janela do quarto de dormir. E os proprietários são muito simpáticos e prestativos (por exemplo: me pegaram na estação de trem, pois cheguei em um domingo e as linhas de ônibus não operam nesse dia).
