The apartment buildings in Poti are typically very old. The entrances and utilities are quite impressive. But they're usually clean and odor-free. The apartments themselves may or may not have been recently renovated. And I've never seen any thought put into the details. They're usually just a collection of random items the owners throw into their apartments. If you're lucky, that's enough. I booked an apartment on 9 April Alley street, it is a boulevard. But I lived on the Gegidze street, and I already lived there one night before ("Ruslan" - never ever again) – it is close to the port and whole night I could hear that noise. The landlady, very nice lady btw, said it is different side – not to the port. But it was even more noisy day time! I couldn't work- it was too much for video conference)) But I had my own router, so, internet was good. While we're still looking for a place to live in Poti, the best apartment was in the 26th of May building with a view of the flag, but it's too big (the price is high).
Apartment on Gegidze: Noisy. The door to the toilet did not open fully because it was blocked by a beam near the closet. And as local said it is the most mosquito place)) Everyone knows about Poti's mosquitoes, but you'd expect the landlords to have window screens. There were screens, but they were full of holes. The local mosquitoes didn't respond to the provided mosquito repellents. Apartment I booked cost 72 GEL/NIGHT Poti. The landlady said this one is more expensive, but no additional charge. But 72 is pretty expensive for that service... Poti, the town I like so much, but can not find an appropriate place to stay...
