Set on 16 acres with sweeping views of the Catskills & designed with sustainability in mind, this eco-friendly home boasts rooftop solar panels, an EV charger, outdoor shower & large windows throughout that fill the space with natural light.

The Space:
Escape to this serene, Scandinavian-inspired retreat tucked into a quiet hillside in the Hudson Valley and set on 16 acres with sweeping views of the Catskills, wildflower meadows, and forest.
On the main level is bright and expansive, open-concept living and dining area. A plush white sectional and contemporary fireplace invite cozy gatherings, while floor-to-ceiling windows frame the surrounding landscape like living artwork. A natural wood dining table, paired with woven-seat chairs, sets the stage for slow mornings and lingering dinners. Tucked just beyond the dining area, a staircase leads to a charming loft with a queen bed—perfect for quiet reading or an afternoon nap. The adjacent chef's kitchen presents sleek concrete countertops, creamy white cabinetry, and a breakfast island ideal for morning coffee or casual meals. Oversized glass doors and windows flood the space with natural light creating a seamless indoor-outdoor connection.
The master bedroom, located on the upper level, features a king size bed and an en suite spa-like bathroom with dual sinks, a walk-in shower and separate soaking tub with stunning views of the Catskill Mountains. Also on the upper level are two guest bedrooms that share a bathroom with a tub/shower combo. One bedroom offers a queen size bed while the other includes a twin bed with trundle - perfect for kids. On the lower level, there are two additional guest bedrooms, each with a king size bed that shares a bathroom with a walk-in shower. These rooms can be converted into a two-bedroom guest suite thanks to a pocket door that provides additional privacy.
**Please note that there are no window coverings here. IT is a very private location, but for the design we have chosen not to put up blinds/curtains.**

Getting Around:
Taghkanic House is just 2 hours from New York City. A car is essential for getting there and exploring the area. The main access routes are the Taconic State Pkwy, Sprain Brook Pkwy S and I-87 S. We strongly recommend a 4x4 or a car with four-wheel drive, especially in winter, to handle snow and gravel roads.
Other Things to Note:
Guests do not have access to the indoor mechanical room.
