Lovely Catskill Views, Close to Hudson, 5 minutes from Lake Taghkanic

Solid property with lots of space. Enjoyed the stay and the host was communicative when informing them about a couple of minor things upon arrival.

The property was fantastic. The main living space was spacious, comfortable and able to comfortably accommodate our party of 7 adults and two children. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, pots and pans, etc. The beds were really comfortable and each room had a mini split. Having a bathroom on each floor was an added bonus and the deck was a great place to hang out. We saw a beautiful sunset and enjoyed feeling like we were in the trees.Check in could not have been easier and Amelia could not have been nicer or more patient in responding to my calls and questions as I prepared for the trip.The location is also wonderful. With no other houses in sight, we were truly in the country. Yet, Hudson is an easy 25 minutes away. Lake Taghkanic, a lovely park with a beautiful beach, is a 12 minute drive away. And there’s a supermarket close by.Highly recommend!

This is a lovely property for a convenient get-away with friends just outside the city. The home is well appointed and stocked with everything you need. The host is very responsive and provided excellent communication, including tips and suggestions for things to do in the area.

The property is very remote but in a beautiful area. You have to travel up a washed out dirt road to get to the driveway. Definitely a problem to find if you were arriving for the first time in the dark which was shared with us. Could use a good dusting overall, but was well furnished. Ping pong table was a hit. However, 3 levels which was not unexpected was a challenge for grandparents as the stairs were very steep. The TV and activities were downstairs which they could not navigate which left them confined to the main floor. Also, the only bathroom with a shower was on the main floor, also shared in the description but was not appreciated by us, which caused some bathing issues. There is nothing close by or open at what would be considered normal business hours for food options so you definitely want to bring something to eat with you. Drip coffee maker did not work which was the one thing we brought with us. Overall, we made do and enjoyed ourselves as we were there to have a family gathering for our daughters graduation from Bard. The weather was not cooperative so exploring the beauty of the location and the outdoor fire pit was not an option.
