The Cottage at Lennaght

We just had a fantastic 2 weeks at this lovely holiday home. It was even nicer than in the photos. The beds were very comfortable, as were the sofas and living area. It is probably one of the nicest self-catering cottages we have stayed in in Ireland, it was full of charm and the location was amazing for discovering the beautiful countryside of Kilkenny, Wexford, Waterford and Carlow. I would highly recommend as a great location for a relaxing holiday and yet there is plenty of interesting places to explore within a 30min drive each direction. It is only a 9min drive to the very picturesque village of Inistioge where you will find live music at The Otter Bar most nights (we didn't have time to check out the other bar but it too is apparently very good for music and food). It is approx a 12min drive to the larger town of New Ross where you can buy your groceries at Supervalue/Lidl.... very convenient. The host Catherine was also very friendly and willing to answer any questions we had. The weather was exceptionally and unexpectedly good when we were here and Catherine went out and purchased 4 sun loungers for us (something you don't often need in Ireland, but we got lucky). Thank you Catherine!

It would have been beneficial to have a freezer... for the ice-cream that was needed on the hot days ;-) I have no other complaints.

Lovely stay, in a beautiful cottage, with everything you could need provided. So peaceful in a nice rural setting. David was really helpful when we firstly couldn't locate the cottage & then had a slight problem with the heating. Everything sorted quickly. The cottage was immaculately clean. This was a first visit to Ireland & would definitely like to return.

A really nice, comfortable and cosy cottage. Clean and tidy, well equipped, host very friendly and responsive, made us feel at home right away. Peaceful rural location, lots of stars visible at night. Looking forward to come back!
