Eleni's Apartment 2

The location is amazing. Just a 5 minute walk down to the most beautiful spot at the end of Barbati Beach with crystal clear waters, olive trees and snorkeling coves. The beach club Bahia Mare is very chic and costs 30 euro per day for an umbrella and two lounge chairs. The service is great. There is another beach club next door that is much cheaper if that isn't your thing. The apartment has a beautiful terrace with a wonderful view of the ocean. I appreciate that Barbati isn't too far from the airport, with a taxi costing 50 euro each way. The apartment had great air conditioning which was very appreciated.

The accomodation itself is very simple and quite small. There is no real living space with a sofa to hang out. Cooking here was quite difficult with the provided appliances. Barbati only has a few restaurants and we found ourselves returning to Lord Byron as it was the only one of very good quality. Its a fine apartment if you just plan to sleep there but dont expect to spend much time indoors.

The accommodation has just been renovated, so everything is new, clean, and beautiful. The garden and the sea view are absolutely breathtaking! It takes about 5 minutes to walk down to the sea, although the path is quite steep. But the sea itself is simply perfect — the water is crystal clear, and the beach is surrounded by trees, which makes it especially beautiful, The beach is pebbly. The property also has a wonderful private yard and a lovely garden with olive and fig trees. At night, we even saw a marten in the garden! The owner runs a bakery just nearby, close to the apartment, so it was very easy to contact him whenever we needed anything. He was always available and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and loved the beautiful surroundings and peaceful atmosphere and gorgeous sea.

We were probably among the first guests to stay in the apartment after its renovation, and overall, everything was beautiful, clean, and new. We really liked the apartment and enjoyed our stay. There were just a few small things that were missing. For example, there was no shelf in the shower where we could put shampoo or soap. The kitchen was well equipped with all the necessary appliances, but there were no cloths or sponges for washing the dishes. This was not a problem, though — we simply bought some at the nearest supermarket.There was a coffee machine and a kettle, as well as some tea bags and coffee. However, basic things such as salt were not provided. Again, this was not a problem, as we could easily buy them nearby. Drinking water also needs to be purchased at the nearest market. If you have a car, this is very convenient. The supermarket is quite close, but you need to walk down the hill and then back up, so it might be less convenient if you are carrying groceries. Another small thing was that the bedrooms did not have shelves or drawers for clothes. There was a wardrobe, but it was mainly suitable for hanging clothes on hangers. Overall, these were just minor details that are very easy to fix. They did not affect our stay, and we really liked the apartment. We would happily stay here again!

The setting of the apartment provides quiet privacy with lovely terrace set within a small garden space with views of the sea. Located within a very short walk to the nicest part of Barbati beach where the swimming is idyllic. Barbati village has several good taverna restaurants and bars as well as a couple of small supermarkets, all an easy walk from the apartment. Despite close proximity to amenities there were no noisy disturbances to be heard, the apartment sits above the main street; which anyway remained quiet.
