La Merced Views II Apartment

The location is amazing, the best in Malaga. The bathroom was fairly sized and the view is good. I liked that it’s in a lively part of town there are many restaurants in the building. The host is really communicative and always available for help.

I didn’t know that the property doesn’t have airconditioning, there are only ceiling fans. However, one of the ceiling fans was loose, so my friends couldn’t sleep with it on because they were scared that it would fall down, so it was really hot in their room. The hairdryer was not working. No one changed our towels or cleaned the room and it was a 4 night stay. The building inside is really old and neighbours hang their wet clothes and underwear in the common space (hallway).

Jose was brilliant at communicating and we had no problems. The apartment was in a fabulous location, overlooking a square with lots of atmosphere. It was very noisy in the evenings (as to be expected when on a square full of restaurants) so I could not recommend this as a 'romantic' place to stay unless busy was what you wanted. The apartment had all that you need for a comfortable stay - the kitchen had everything including a washing machine (we didn't use), ironing facilities and the building itself was quiet, so no noisy neighbours. I also liked that the apartment was in a 'normal' block and not a typical tourist block - we felt like locals :-)

It's always difficult to recommend a bed that isn't your own. The pillows were too large & hard for me personally, as I like a flat pillow but would suit others. The bed we slept on had an awful creaky noise when you turned over in bed, I'm not sure why but maybe it needs looking at. It would have been lovely to have had a sofa to sit somewhere comfortable as we had my 85 year old mother with us, but I think I missed that on the description & there was one armchair which we sat her in!

Breakfast wasn't included, but there were excellent cafes just downstairs. The view was incredible, and the location was perfect -- right on the edge of the old town. Easy walks and plenty to see and do.

Nothing wrong. We loved our stay. And the host was super helpful and friendly.
