Apartamento Marina

We were met by the host who tracked our flight and knew we were early. She was really welcoming and was an instant hit with our 3 year old daughter. She explained everything and gave us her number in case we needed anything (we didn’t). We stayed here with our 3 year old and 6 month old. It was ideal. There are 4/5 steps up to the property but the apartment itself was ideal. Decent kitchen, good sized living area and the terrace was great. Sun shining on it for the majority of the day which was ideal when the 6 month old was napping. The location is excellent with only a 5 minute walk to the beach and main strip. 100% recommend this place and will love to stay again if we return to Puerto Del Carmen.

The transfer to the accommodation. This was nothing to do with the host but we organised a transfer through booking.com and for the 4 of us, a 52 seater bus arrived. It was too big to go up narrow street where house was so dropped us far from the accommodation with luggage. Thankfully the host had spotted us and even helped here. She goes above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable and as pleasant as possible.

Traude was at the apartment to let us in and show us around. Bigger than we expected, plenty of room and excellent kitchen facilities. The balcony area is large and a suntrap, also quiet considering it is only metres from the front. Supermarket, bars, restaurants, tourist information and beach a very short walk. Highly recommended and Traude is an excellent host.

A larger double bed would be nice but that is what we are use to at home so not a criticism.

Absolutely great property, has everything we needed and was central to everything. Lovely big patio, secure and could hear and see the sea. Plenty of eateries and shops and the Galleon 2 which sits on the corner. Quiet at night.

Great communication with the owner. Good location. Close to amenities. Area felt safe and people in neighbouring properties were friendly and helpful. Spacious apartment inside and out. Lovely terrace with great sea views. Well equipped with good kitchen equipment, plenty towels, toilet/kitchen paper etc

Although very central with bars and restaurants close by, there was very little noise from the surrounding area. However it was very noisy from the neighbouring properties day and night, especially the doctors surgery next door which sounded like it had cleaners in from 7.15am. We were a bit drained from lack of sleep. No safe. Probably an oversight on our part but most holiday accommodation comes with a safe. Double bed very uncomfortable and mattress slips off of it constantly. Lounge seating not the most comfortable. Lack of English spoken TV channels. Not even news channels in English. Water pressure in shower and taps fluctuated. We were constantly having to rid the kitchen of ants despite having no food lying around.
