Aur Bay Chalet

Less than one minute and you’re on the beach. Staff was very nice, always smiling. Close to the best restaurant in Coral Bay (Amelia’s) and snorkeling services. The cheapest option you’ll find in Coral Bay. The fan worked well and our stuff remained safe inside during the whole trip. Also, the bed was comfortable and the sheets and towels were clean. This is only for budget travelers

It’s a very simple cabin with lots of holes and entrances for bugs to come in (mosquitoes, geckos, ants, etc). The WC was a mess - looked super dirty and they don’t provide toilet paper, you have only a bucket and a hose to clean yourself. The water to shower is cold, but that isn’t a problem since it’s always hot. The cabin is very very hot the whole day but the fan works wonders. They provide a mosquito net for the bed but it has holes so it’s quite pointless. We sprayed ourselves with mosquito spray and it seemed to work…however, my partner got clear bed bug bites going from his abdomen, to his arm, until his hand - a clear pathway with multiple bites can only mean bed bugs. The mattress is clearly very old and under the bed it was suuuuper dirty. If you can’t take this, choose any other accommodation. I recommend Long Beach because the beach is nicer than in coral bay, and there’s cheap accommodation options. The only plus is you get to watch the sunset on this side.
