Papa's Garden - Homestay Hà Giang

What an awesome charming place to stay, Bao, Lan and their family were so welcoming,we had a real Vietnamese home experience. Highly recommend! The highlight was a shared family meal with Bao, his sister and wife Lan. Google translate was our friend but it didn't detract from the genuine warmth and curiosity we shared. The food was AMAZING.and it was great to be shown how to eat, what to dip where, and enjoy the slow food culture that is Vietnamese dining. Our room was clean and comfortable too.

The only slight downside is location, they are a long way from the hub of Ha Giang so dinner with the family was perfect as it would have been tricky to get into town. Although Bao was very generous with driving us around.

I feel lucky to have found Papa’s Garden! The family is incredibly welcoming and has created a beautiful, peaceful retreat in a lovely village that is still convenient Hà Giang. The rooms are charming— clean, comfortable, and modern—with great air conditioning, private bathroom, TV, and everything you need to relax. There are also bikes available to borrow and a laundry machine on site. The property is surrounded by nature, with a truly impressive garden and teeming fish pond, and the meals were all wonderful. I was even invited cycling and to the local market, which made the stay feel really special. You can also book great driven tours of the region. Everyone in the family was so kind and helpful, and all the personal touches made me feel truly at home. Papa’s Garden really is the perfect getaway whether you stay just a few days or even longer. I hope to visit again someday and would recommend it to anyone!

Chambre spacieuse donnant sur un très beau jardin , bien équipée et au calme . Homestay au milieu des rizières tout en étant proche de la ville et de la station de bus . Ambiance familiale , prêt de vélo , petit déjeuner copieux , mais le bonus est surtout cette famille serviable et d une grande gentillesse qui fait tout son possible pour faciliter et rendre votre séjour agréable . Le rapport qualité prix est excellent . À recommander absolument l, vous ne serez pas déçu .

Ich habe meinen Aufenthalt bei Papa's Garden sehr genossen. Die Familie ist unglaublich herzlich und hilfsbereit und tut wirklich alles dafür, dass man sich wohlfühlt. Man hat hier die Möglichkeit, Teil einer modernen vietnamesischen Familie zu sein. Besonders die Tochter Maya spricht sehr gutes Englisch, ist offenherzig und erklärt vieles, sodass man einen echten Einblick in das Leben vor Ort bekommt. Sehr schön fand ich auch, gemeinsam mit der Familie zu frühstücken – ein besonderes Erlebnis, das den Aufenthalt noch persönlicher macht. Das Zimmer ist sehr gepflegt und sauber mit einem großen Bett. Hübsch eingerichtet! Die Lage befindet sich in einem Dorf mit Nachbarschaft – es ist grün drumherum, mit einem großen angelegten Teich und gleichzeitig ist man mitten im Dorfleben. Insgesamt ein sehr authentischer und herzlicher Aufenthalt. Ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen.

Bei leichtem Schlaf können Geräusche aus dem nahegelegenen Restaurant am frühen Morgen wahrnehmbar sein. Das Bett war etwas hart, so wie es in Vietnam üblich ist. Auf Anfrage gibt es einen Matratzen topper.
