Charles Street House

Location was perfect less than a 2 minute walk into the town centre.

Bit off putting the older gentleman in room 01, always in bed with living room curtains open and his room door wide open, quite a weird smell from his room and you have to walk past this when you enter the building.

Very good location and very clean

Says tea and coffee facilities and fridge leads you to think they are in room but is not only has a shared kitchen and the only room with a small fridge in it is room 4 ....also bathrooms are tiny and as a plus sized lady I couldn't actually use the shower as it was so tiny

Me and my 9 year old daughter stayed here to go to Renfest. It was clean, tidy and had everything we needed. It was really cheap for the 2 nights so although it did smell and have carpet burns, we didnt pay a fortune for it so weve took the rough with the smooth.

There were cigarette holes in the carpet and the room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke even keeping the window open for the 2 nights we were there. As a non smoker, and staying with my child this was very off putting. It is a shame as the room and house we cant fault other than that but we wouldnt book again for that room for that reason.

I liked the location of the accommodation and the ease to access the room. The facilities were great, fully equipped kitchen which I did not use and a washing machine. There was also a small dining area. The room was a nice size and clean. There was a fridge and TV which had Netflix etc which was a nice touch. Overall I found it very good value for money.

The noise from other guests late at night. We had one chap talking on his phone loudly outside our door whilst swearing. I was travelling with my young son and he was quite frightened by this. Other guests were banging and crashing around the kitchen late at night also, talking loudly and slaming doors. There was no consideration of other guests staying at all. There was also someone knocking loudly on the front door just before midnight on our last night again this was not appreciated and disturbed us. I did not complain as I know you can't control who stays in the other rooms.
