    Amazing views overlooking Akureyi & only a few minutes drive to the centre. Easy to park. Lovely & kind staff. Lovely breakfast. Would return

    Probably the finest accommodation in Iceland. The location is spectacular - overlooking the city of Akureyri with views of thre Eyjafjörður valley. The rooms are spacious and smart. But what distinguishes this hótel is the exceptional service and warmth of the owner who lives in the premises and attends to every detail.

    Highly recommend this hotel. The location was convenient to the city, but quiet with a stunning view. The facilities were very clean, beds were comfortable, and breakfast was a buffet that was nicely supplied. Coffee was also available in the room.

    Absolutely loved our stay at Hafdals Hotel! This place honestly feels worthy of a 5-star rating. The owner was incredibly accommodating and kind, making us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The room view was breathtaking—overlooking the mountains and the charming town of Akureyri, it was like waking up in a postcard. We were even lucky enough to catch the northern lights right from the hotel! The food was also delicious, and everything about the place felt cozy, peaceful, and well cared for. I so love this place—it’s truly a must-stay when visiting Akureyri. Can’t recommend it enough!
