About this house rental
Welcome to our French-country coastal cottage on 1 acre with private trail to the Union River Bay. Designed to provide balance of adventure, relaxation, and family fun, this home is brimming with amenities inside and out. Located just 5 minutes from downtown Ellsworth and 10 minutes from Mount Desert Island's entrance, our home is situated along the “locals road” to Acadia. Explore the best of coastal Maine and return home to serene water views, rustic elegance, quality comfort and convenience!

Bakeware, Kitchenaid mixer, coffee pot, coffee grinder, French press, Tea kettle, crock pot, large steampot (for outdoor use), record player with a variety of classic records (below stairs), and of course many other common kitchen tools
Kitchen 2 (wet bar):
Ice maker, cocktail tools, serve ware, drink ware, second fridge, wine cooler, blender, Keurig, French press, milk frother, electric kettle, etc.
Loft:
2 yoga mats, 4 yoga blocks, stretching straps, meditation stools, smart TV, board games, cards, books, etc.
Outdoor activities:
Hot tub, Trail to bay, 4 bay view lounge chairs, beach (at low tide), kayaks and paddle boards (property does NOT have easy access to enter and exit the water due to tidal variation), corn hole, Bucket Golf, Spike Ball, Pickle-Spike Ball, propane grill, propane steam pot for your Maine lobster feasts
Other provided amenities:
-Window air-conditioning units are installed May -September for optimal sleep. You may adjust the temp to your liking.
-High thread count sheets and towels (limited outdoor towels to be used for hot tub)
-Washer & dryer for your convenience
-Dish and laundry detergent
-Tea, K-cups and creamer singles available to get you started (We recommend bringing your favorite coffee/tea/creamer. We have multiple brewing options and would love for you to enjoy your ideal morning beverage)
-Common pantry items including spices, oils, condiments are provided although availability may vary depending on guest use
Other things to note
We designed this house with a focus on enjoying family time, nature, the outdoors, and the company of friends. To enhance this experience, we have limited the presence of electronics. However, for those moments when you want to catch an important game or show, we have provided a smart TV in the loft.

We were 2 familes traveling together and this home was perfect for our stay- each family had plenty of space for themselves, and the shared spaces were well appointed and comfortable. Outside areas were great, too- especially the hot tub. Location allowed us to explore both sides of Acadia and the surrounding communities. We would all stay here again, no questions asked!

Great location, easy drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia park. The house is beautifully decorated with a beautiful view of the bay. We enjoyed going out on the kayaks and barbecuing!

The house was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you could need for meal preparation. The area is very quiet and we enjoyed walking down to the bay. My family and I had a wonderful stay!
