Resort Overview
With its charming Bavarian architecture, excellent bratwurst and the high Cascade Mountains tapping on its shoulder, Leavenworth might as well be in the middle of the Alps. But, fortunately, it’s just a two-hour drive from Seattle.
In addition to the Bavarian shops that line Front Street and sell traditional goods like cuckoo clocks and lederhosen, Leavenworth offers the breathtaking Icicle Creek area just a few miles from town. Here, trails lead to sheer cliffs (popular with climbers) and postcard-perfect alpine lakes. And don’t forget to take the path from the resort to town center. It follows the Wenatchee River and offers interpretive signs that illustrate the history of the region. Whichever way you approach it, a stay here adds up to the perfect vacation for the whole family.

So this is really a listing for the WorldMark by Wyndham complex in Leavenworth.
It’s a corporate timeshare: the lows aren’t too low and the highs aren’t too high.
Lows
- You get randomly assigned to a unit in a quad-plex. Based on the map, I would guess you have 25% chance of actually getting the view of the pond/pool in the pictures. Most of the units overlook Enchantment Park (~30-40ft below).
- The wi-fi, while free, is mid-90s speed; prepare to wait for tabs to load and forget zoom calls.
- The kitchen is the absolute bare minimum equipment. I think I would have had a serious problem if I had been cooking for 6 people the unit supposedly supports.
- None of the furniture was particularly comfortable, couch and bed especially.
Highs
- Easy walk into town, either via the road or paths through Blackbird Island.
- Effective air conditioning. The unit sits outside the queen bedroom on the ground floor, but wasn’t too loud.
- Overall not very loud other than occasionally enthusiastic neighbors.
- Plumbed gas grill was nice to use on the patio.
- There is staff available most of the time to handle any issue. (Not that they ever showed up to fix the broken garbage disposal.)

The unit was very current looking and very clean. It was just what we needed and easy to walk into Leavenworth. The grounds were especially well taken care of.
