About this villa rental

The villa “Leopoldina” and the Valdichiana. Villa La Colombaia is an old “Leopoldina” farmhouse typical of the Valdichiana, restored with care and respect for the Tuscan tradition, and located a few kilometers from the Etruscan town of Cortona. The villa is set among rolling hills, where the rich and fertile Valdichiana offers beautiful views of rows of cypresses, vineyards and olive groves. Cortona, beautiful to visit from an architectural point of view with its narrow streets and noble palaces, has also every kind of service. Only 1,5 km away from the villa we also find the small village of Fratta S. Caterina, where a restaurant and some basic shops are within walking distance. For those who love walking or cycling, next to the villa there is the “Sentiero della Bonifica” (Land Reclamation Path), which winds along the ancient main canal of the Chiana and connects Arezzo and Chiusi.
Outdoor park and pool area. In the large green park around the villa there is a large swimming pool (size 7x16 m, depth 1.20-2.20 m), surrounded by cypresses and olive trees, with gazebo with sitting area for outdoor aperitifs. At guests' disposal also a hammock, table tennis, swing, volleyball court and a covered parking. Next to the villa there is a large wooden gazebo equipped with table, chairs, barbecue, wood-burning oven and sink for cooking and eating “al fresco”.
Facilities of the villa. Villa La Colombaia is tastefully furnished and well equipped, facilities include dishwasher, washing machine, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, satellite TV. A clever use of original colors and fine materials has made the villa a structure that can combine the charm of ancient tradition to the most modern standards of everyday life.
