There are expansive decks surrounding the cottage. Take a walk down the stairway just off the main cottage deck to enjoy additional decks and dock on the property and 110 feet of shoreline.
Have a refreshing swim or paddle in the spring fed lake. There are kayaks, a canoe and floating mat available to use. Take a short walk to enjoy the beach on adjacent Black rattle lake.
All of the amenities needed are available on-site for guests to cook, enjoy a BBQ or evening campfire. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, glasses, cutlery, cooking utensils. stove, kettle, toaster, microwave and full sized refrigerator. Don’t feel like cooking? Take a short 15 minute drive to Greenfield for take out from the AFN Medway or tasty baked goods and prepared food items at Stew’s Convenience.
The cottage living space is all on one level featuring 3 bedrooms end an open concept kitchen, dining and living area. The master bedroom has a Queen sized bed. There is a middle bedroom with bunk bed: double mattress on bottom and twin on top and a third smaller bedroom with a twin bed. High speed wifi and smart tv is available for your enjoyment. Cell phone reception is spotty in the area so make sure to write down or print off your travel directions to the cottage ahead of time.
Stay put and take advantage of the peaceful surroundings to recharge and enjoy family time, or enjoy day trips to nearby attractions in Liverpool, Mahone Bay, Lunenberg, Bridgewater and Kejimkujik National Park just to name a few options along the south shore.
Water that supplies the cottage comes from the lake; it is good for showering, flushing toilets and dishes but not for drinking. Guests are advised to bring their own bottled water for drinking.
