Guesthouse with 3 rooms

Great location, 10 mins walk from station and shops Host was very helpful and communication was good Use of kitchen and basic food and drink items available for free Host let us keep our luggage in the room for the day as not booked the next night.

Rooms were very small with no space to open suitcases easily Bedding was tatty, pillows especially uncomfortable and thin, host said he will replace them in future Towels very thin and tatty Although the host was charming and helpful the rooms were like student accommodation. I feel he could make them more comfortable. Host was doing laundry of bedding in the washing machine in the bathroom and then left it to dry in the apartment on racks all the next day hanging in the corridors which made it feel even more like student accommodation. he did apologise but it felt very unprofessional and was also a fire risk as it blocked the hallway. Sharing a bathroom/ toilet with up to 4 complete strangers in the other rooms was tricky at times. You need to be happy with this when booking. We had the balcony bunk bed room which gave us a space to sit, there is nowhere in the flat to eat if cooking other than the small bedrooms. There are no windows off one side of the apartment where the kitchen and bathroom are so unless you can open your bedroom window there is no fresh air. If you are looking for somewhere central with cooking facilities then this is a good place, but it isn’t somewhere to stay for long as not comfortable. I also think it is over priced despite the host saying it’s good value.

The owner, although not present at on my arrival, sorted out a problem promptly over the telephone - and had apparently visited the property after I checked in to sort out another problem with room allocation. Coffee and cookies are provided. The directions to the flat were just about understandable - although have some photos to follow would have been better. Location is a couple of minutes walk to shops and restaurants. The cheapest option for the dates I needed.

This is clearly a 2 bedroom flat used as a 3 bedroom, let to multiple people. The key to my room, worked for at least one other bedroom door. The location to pick up the key was a bit sketchy (in a secure key box on a graffiti wall a short walk away between the apartment and the station - but you have to find the box, looking like a tourist in an area of rough sleepers (and I saw at least one drug deal happening) Although the mattress and bed sheets were surprisingly comfortable, I didn't realise that I had booked a single mattress bunk bed. (I don't recall if that was clear in the advert) I think this property is more suitable on AirBnB rather than Booking.com A previous reviewer had said that they left a bag there after checkout while they looked around the city, but that option was not available to me (I did ask) as the owner doesn't live or work there.
