About this house rental
Our home is idyllically located on a small lake, 30 minutes from Amsterdam and within walking or cycling distance of the beautiful city of Haarlem. It’s a 5-minute walk to all amenities. The beach is a 30-minute bike ride from the house, and we have bodyboards you can borrow. Some bikes are also available for use.
On the lake, you can swim, kayak, and paddleboard. We have a rabbit that roams freely in the garden.
This is where we live, so there are family photos in various rooms. To respect our neighbors’ peace and quiet, we ask that you please refrain from hosting parties.
On the first floor, there is a large, fully equipped kitchen with a dining area that overlooks the lake. There is also a living room with a fireplace and a downstairs restroom.
On the first floor, there are two large double bedrooms. One has a standard double bed (1.4 m × 2 m) and the other has a queen-size bed (1.8 m × 2 m). There is also an office/single room and a bathroom with a tub and shower.
On the second floor, there are two rooms. One has a raised single bed (0.9 m × 2 m) and the other has a single bed with a pull-out bed underneath (both 0.9 m × 2 m). This floor also features a toilet and shower room. There is also a washing machine and dryer on this floor. A table tennis table is also available on this floor.
Outside, there is a garden table with chairs and an outdoor lounge area. You also have access to the lake for swimming and kayaking/paddleboarding (1 adult kayak, 2 children’s kayaks, and 1 paddleboard provided). Many people swim there and go paddleboarding or kayaking throughout the year.
The rabbit mentioned roams freely in the garden but shouldn’t bother you.
The house can comfortably sleep 8 people, and I can provide 3 additional mattresses for sleeping on the floor.
