워낙 건물이 예뻐서 외국에서 오신 손님께서 머물기 딱 좋았어요.

The concept is beautiful and there is so much potential. The hotel markets itself as a 5 star. At first look, it was gorgeous, however the first cracks showed upon arrival. There were no door staff to assist with luggage or to welcome you to the hotel. You can see through the door there was someone in the lobby who saw us, but did not come out. Upon entering the lobby, while there was staff, none approached and required us to approach them. Check in was 2pm, we arrive at 1:10pm and was told that we will have to wait to 2pm to check in. It is possible that the room was not ready, but that was not the impression given. There was also no offer to store our luggage until check in until we asked. which was promptly left unattended in the corner of the lobby. We proceeded to the restaurant to eat a quick lunch, the menu was limited but was good, pricing wise, seemed typical of hotel premium priced food. The room itself was alright, and while it offered Molton Brown shampoo, conditioner and body wash (the bodywash doubled as handsoap), no other amenities were offered. Understandably under Korean laws, disposable products like toothbrushes and razers are additional charges, however basic amenities like cotton buds and pads were not offered, which is something you expect from a 3 star and up. Bath towels and hand towels were gray, old and thin. While there was a beautiful sunken tub, it was not well maintained and no additional amenities were given to elevate that experience. The grounds were beautiful. What a pity that they were not utilised to level up the experience. If the hotel had offered cultural experiences in all that space, it would have truly been amazing. Just a personal thought as it is definitely my personal opinion of elevating the experience, if the staff's uniform were inspired by traditional Korean Hanbok, it would lend to the entire ambience. At 6am, traditional music was played in the public space of the hotel (meaning the open courtyard and all around the entire hotel). I'm not sure what the rationale was, however it woke all of us up. While I enjoy traditional music, 6am is too early to be playing it everywhere and on constant repeat. The previous day we were asked to order our breakfast and were told we can only set it for 8am or 9am. We were not however told there was a breakfast cut off ordering time - and missed it. We had to walk out to the lobby where, in not so polite tone, told they can place the order for us. In the morning, with the music disturbance, we tried to get a bit more sleep and were called and chased to head out for breakfast. The food was okay - however expectation of coffee and juices fall short. Upon checkout, no one assisted us with our luggage even when staff walked by us in the corridor. We again had to ask for assistance for car and luggage storage. The entire gives off a feel of financial difficulties, attempts to make cutbacks in hopes they are not noticeable, however for a 5 star, they are extremely noticeable as the little touches are what elevates the experience. Long story short, its a beautiful location (needing some maintenance), poor service and falls short of potential. If marketed as a 3 star hotel, it would have been much more acceptable.

The accommodation was beautiful, the atmosphere was great, the room amenities were perfect, and the breakfast was delicious. I will definitely come back again.
